Hello everyone!
I am learning more about using sub projects, especially when I'm doing editing in the main project, and then I need to apply audio elements to the project, I'm starting to move the tracks necessary to a sub project with option you on the Mac.
When I do this, though, I see the following, which to me, makes it seem like it's creating a sub project with wave as the file format. Over the last year, I've switched to Flack, for recording and rendering, is there a setting in the preferences I can change to make sure that it uses flack to save the space
WAV: 32bit FP, 48000Hz, 2ch, 3000kbps
Thanks for any of your help.

Unless you're sure that your gain staging is always in good shape end to end, IMO it's probably wise to keep subprojects rendering in floating point like this. Handy because if any of those resources you're squirreling away in subprojects turn out to clip without you noticing at the time, you can just turn the component down wherever you're using it without needing to re-render.
Also, I'm not sure how to change it to flac. DOH! :)

Thanks for that, I'll probably will just keep it how it is, because I don't use sub projects that much! It just kind of caught me off guard. I thought I had found all the places to change things to flack.
Appreciate the message..

I never found the purpose of moving the tracks to a sub project. That to me is a bit scarry as in my mind you just decimated your real project. I often copy the tracks to a sub project by hand, tinker then copy them back, or do what I need to do in a sub project then bring that into the main project via a cut / copy and paste. I will have to play with this should I ever need to.
